Automotive Technology II
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Automotive Technology II program at the Gibson Technical Center is a one year program taught according to ASE guidelines. Throughout the program the automotive students of the Gibson Technical Center will satisfactorily complete a series of activities following the guidelines of the ASE certification areas. These activities, consisting of written and hands-on operations, will take place in the classroom and shop. Each phase will have its own guidelines and time period as to meet the requirements of an ASE certified program. We will cover some areas with more complexity than others depending on the certification level and area industry demand. Auto Tech II includes instruction on engine overhaul, transmission servicing, brake servicing, air conditioning, cooling systems, tune-up, the drive line, fuel systems, electrical systems, suspension, emission control, and accessories.
